Little Prince is the story of a shetland pony named Dauphin, Prince in French, that lives the perfect life being pampered by his owner, Isabella Ingram. But on the first ride in weeks, Isabella seems to have gotten larger, to large for Phin to even canter with. On the day of the pony show, Phin is certain that the Ingrams would take him to the country club to win another silver bowl, but disaster befalls Phin's world as he is brought to the Funny Farm. A strange assortment of animals awaits as he makes a beeline for safety. He meets a three legged dog named freddy, a emu named Matilda, a very obnoxious cameo named Sally, and a wise old buffalo named Sumalee. He must escape, but not only from the camel trying to eat his tail, but away from the farm forever. But the wise words from Sumalee stop him. He has a reputation for helping the animals, that started by getting Sven, a blind reindeer's antlers out the fence. But then the flood comes... The worst of animal enemies must work together to escape the raging waters. In the end, the Funny Farm is rebuilt, and fresh for all the inhabitants. And now Phin finally knows where he belongs...
